Inform & Inspire – Keeping the Baby in Focus: webinar on 17 September now open for registrations

Keeping the Baby in Focus: Bringing Together NBO and VIG in Practice – our next lunch and learn webinar will take place on 17 September 2026.

Join us for this lunch & learn session where we discuss using the NBO and VIG in practice to support babies and their families

As always, come prepared to be INFORMED—gaining fresh insights and knowledge—and INSPIRED—ready to bring what you learn into your own practice with infants and their families.

This session will focus on the practical tools of the Newborn Behavioural Observation (NBO) and the Video Interaction Guidance (VIG), both of which are unique yet complimentary tools for infant health professionals.

We’ll be welcoming Hilary Kennedy from Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) who is a Psychologist delivering and evaluating Video Interaction Guidance Training in the UK.

Our Director Inge Nickell from Brazelton Centre UK will introduce the Newborn Behavioural Observation (NBO) and we will discuss the ways both tools can be used in different settings.

We’ll also look at a case study example thanks to the input of Ben Wilkes, a Therapeutic Practitioner who works for The For Babys Sake Trust, who will discuss using NBO and VIG in practice.

As always we’ll have plenty of time for reflection and questions.

Led by experienced practioners, this session offers a reflective and practical space for professionals across disciplines—including midwifery, health visiting, neonatal care, perinatal mental health, and paediatrics—to enhance their relational practice and support the families they work with.
