NBO Refresher Course

This course is designed for those who have completed the NBO two day training and want to update their knowledge. You may have certified but are now in a new job and need an update. You may not yet have certified and would like to revisit the NBO elements to help you with certification. You may have certified some time ago and would like to have an update.
This is a one day course taught online via Zoom. The course consists of discussions, demonstrations, powerpoint presentations and video clips.
Please note: all attendees will need to have their NBO kit and manual with them when attending the refresher course (this will have been provided at the original NBO course you attended).
Learning Outcomes
- Review how to administer the 18 items in a way that facilitates the baby’s best performance
- Identify and understand the relationship between the key neurobehavioural systems in the newborn period
- Consider how the infant’s cues during the NBO can be used to support parent’s understanding of their baby’s behaviour
