Advanced Skills: Using the NBO with High-Risk Infants

This one-day programme is aimed at any practitioner who has already completed a 2-day NBO course and is working with high-risk infants and their families. This includes practitioners who may have taken either the standard NBO course or the NBO course for high-risk infants.
The aim of this programme is to support practitioners in their development of advanced clinical reasoning and implementation of the NBO with high-risk infants and their families.
Incorporating structured teaching and reflective discussion, the programme will focus on the development of neurobehavioural regulation in the high-risk infant and the challenges that may disrupt this process for infants who are born preterm or unwell, aspects of administration of the NBO specific to this population, and anticipatory guidance to support the infant and parent AMOR. Practitioner experiences of implementing the NBO in their specific area of practice, clinical case-studies and implementation in specific caseloads/settings will also be discussed.
