On Thursday 17th September we hosted our autumn Inform and Inspire Webinar.
This session focused on the practical tools of the Newborn Behavioural Observation (NBO) and the Video Interaction Guidance (VIG), both of which are unique yet complimentary tools for infant health professionals.
We welcomed Hilary Kennedy from Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) who is a Psychologist delivering and evaluating Video Interaction Guidance Training in the UK.
Our Director Inge Nickell from Brazelton Centre UK introduced the Newborn Behavioural Observation (NBO) and we discussed the ways both tools can be used in different settings.
In this session we explored real life case studies and practical ways both tools are used thanks to the input of Ben Wilkes, a Therapeutic Practitioner who works for For Babys Sake Trust, who discussed using NBO and VIG in practice.
Led by experienced practioners, the session offers a reflective and practical space for professionals across disciplines—including midwifery, health visiting, neonatal care, perinatal mental health, and paediatrics.
